What the class covers
- Searching for scholarships that accept Afghan applicants and non-standard transcripts
- Reading eligibility criteria properly, before spending weeks on an application
- Writing a personal statement that survives a first-round sift
- Requesting references and reconstructing documents that are no longer obtainable
- Filling in application portals and meeting deadlines across time zones
- Preparing for interviews conducted in English
Paired with the writing courses
The Email and Essay Writing course exists because scholarship applications live or die on written English. Students draft, get feedback, and redraft — and the same skills carry straight into university coursework once they are admitted.
